The portal was initially shared with a handful of clients in order to gain user feedback and ‘nice to have’ ideas. These were incorporated in the design before its client-wide release earlier this year.
For client’s new to the portal an Objective account manager initiates the set up process and creates the project framework before inviting the client to log in to the portal. Once registered clients can add new project tasks, set deadlines, upload documents, approve or reject tasks that have been quoted, place tasks on hold and add notes to create a message board of contact activity.
Email alerts are sent to the client/Objective pre-determined team when new tasks are added or the status of active tasks change and specific individual attention is required. The alerts system can be overridden if many tasks are added/changed at one time to avoid email overload.
